Embarking on a road trip along the Oaxaca coast and across Mexico requires a vehicle built for adventure—and the right protection to back it up. At Nomádico, we believe in absolute transparency: no hidden fees, no fine-print surprises when returning your vehicle. To suit every traveler’s journey and risk tolerance, we offer three tailored coverage levels.

• Basic Coverage: Included by default with every rental. It covers third-party civil liability, insurance road assistance, occupant medical expenses, unlimited mileage, and GPS tracking. In the event of damage or theft, your financial responsibility is capped at the standard maximum limit for your vehicle category.

• Comfort Coverage: The ideal choice for a more relaxed drive. It significantly lowers your security deposit and reduces your deductible to 10%. It also adds coverage for flat tires and broken windows (for cars).

• Full Protection: For total peace of mind. Enjoy a $0 deductible on vehicle body damages and our lowest security deposit. Under total theft scenarios, a reduced liability cap protects you, given that the official police report (denuncia) and original keys are delivered to Nomádico right away.

Golden Rules & Essential Protocols

To ensure your coverage remains valid throughout your trip, keep these critical rules in mind:

• In Case of an Accident: Never move the vehicle from the accident scene before the Insurance Adjuster (Ajustador) and traffic police arrive and authorize it. Under Mexican insurance regulations, moving the vehicle prematurely can void your coverage.

• Exclusions: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or operating the vehicle on beaches, ocean water, or deep rivers, renders all insurance options completely null and void.

• Equipment: Rooftop tents, camping gear, and accessories remain excluded under all plans and are 100% the renter’s responsibility.
